RUNNING ANALYSIS

It only takes a few minutes of googling “running form” to get confused about the best running form. Or maybe you’ve searched “exercises for runners” and been hit with an endless sea of variations. The truth is, everyone’s running style and athletic background are different so the strategies to improve one’s running need to be individualized. That’s where a Running Analysis comes in. This 1-on-1, 60-minute session is designed to give you the tools and knowledge to take your running to the next level

Note: if you are having pain or an injury that prevents normal training please book a physical therapy evaluation instead. This route will still result in your running gait being assessed as part of the course of care.

What to bring:

  • Running shoes

  • Running attire (ideal to have snug-fitting clothing)

  • Specific questions you have

What to expect:

  • Review intake form and training history

  • Discussion of goals for the session and long-term performance

  • Footwear screen, orthopedic physical assessment, strength, and dynamic movement testing

  • Warm-up followed by treadmill running for multi-view video capture

  • Review of running gait, and findings from the evaluation

  • Instruction of running cues and 3-4 drills/exercises targeting your needs.
